Sensate Focus Workshops
Day/Time: Tuesday, 3:30-5:00pm
Start Date: Two Sessions: 2/3/2026 & 2/24/2026
Location: Via Zoom
Facilitators: Katie Borofka, MPH, LCSW, CST (she/her), Katie is a queer cis woman with a deep commitment to creating therapeutic spaces for exploring pleasure, sexuality, gender, relationship health, and identity integration.
About: In this two-part series, we will explore and practice the basics of sensate focus, a foundational sex therapy technique for applying mindfulness to touch. You do not need to have a partner or be in a relationship to practice these skills and learn how to enhance your relationship to your body and to touch.
We will focus on exercises that you can do by yourself, and there will be information provided on how to use these skills with a partner. These mindfulness exercises are often helpful when we are struggling with issues like arousal and desire, body image, and other common anxieties and worries that arise around and during sex.
Homework will be offered to practice in between the two workshop sessions.
Open to program participants of: Mental Health Services (At Quest or with MOU)
