Volunteer Opportunities
Internships : We have internships available in our Recovery and Mental Health Programs. For our Internships, we have established relationships with specific Portland based schools.
If you are seeking a Mental Health internship, please check with your college to see if they are set up with us to take interns and for more info regarding the application and interview process.
Nutrition Programming : One of the key parts of Quest that sets our community apart is our Nutrition Programming. We integrate nutrition groups into all of our program offerings. We have small to medium Nutrition Groups in our teaching kitchen, and every Thursday we have a Community Nutrition Night dinner which is open to the whole Quest Community. This role requires volunteers to work in the kitchen with clients, perform prep work, clean up work, and/or cook.
Community and Fundraising Events : Our Development and Communication Department organizes several Community Events, Resource Fairs, and Fundraising Events throughout the year. Each of these events is a unique planning and set up adventure with various areas to explore event planning, fundraising, communications, and being a part of a Team.
Other ideas? If you have other ideas that aren't listed here, let us know! We'd be happy to work something out that shows off your unique skills and talents. We've had volunteers lead Sound Bath groups for clients, offer educational training for staff, and organize SMART recovery group at Quest. If you have a specific skill or offering that you'd like to share, let's talk!
Group Volunteering - If you're part of a company or group that would like to volunteer together, we can work with you to find something that interests you and works with your timing. We've had groups do things like assembling hygiene kits / first aid kits for our outreach team to use in the community, preparing a meal for a client group as a team, and more. Just let us know the estimated size of your group and timeframe and we'll find something great!
