Updated Nutrition Night Protocol

Every Thursday from 5-6:30pm, we welcome clients and staff to our Community Nutrition Night. This is a time to share a meal of wholesome foods, experience the support of our groups, find a sense of belonging and empowerment that comes with being in community.

New Protocol for Guests of Nutrition Night
Moving forward, to help keep a clearer list of guests attending Nutrition Night at Quest Center, and in the continued support of our communities outside support systems, we now have a new process for outside guests attending Nutrition Night.

If a staff person or current Quest client would like to invite a guest (family, friend, community partner) they will need to send an email to nn@quest-center.org. They will need to include their guest’s name(s), contact information and the specific day they are planning to attend. Reservations need to be made by the end of the day on the Wednesday BEFORE Nutrition Night - so that the Nutrition Night team can add the information to the reservation list.

Folks that show up that are not on the reservation list will be turned away. We are working to compile a list of long-term community members that volunteer and attend as well.

As Quest community members we work to create a safe space for all by agreeing to the following:

  • Keep an open mind: This is a place to practice non-judgement and keep an open mind.

  • Respect: Be respectful and considerate of yourself and of others. This includes perspectives, experiences, wants, and needs.

  • Name tags: We wear name tags so that we can easily communicate with one another. Sharing your pronouns is optional. Please strive to always use a person’s shared name and correct pronouns.

  • Boundaries: Respect the physical space of others. We discourage physical touch, and only welcome it when given explicit consent. This includes handshakes, elbow nudges, hugs, and so on.

  • Deal breakers: We ask that you not join us in this shared meal if you are unable to refrain from;

  • Verbal, Emotional, physical or other forms of violence,

  • Harassment of any kind,

  • We ask that you come to Nutrition Night free from alcohol or drug consumption and odors.

  • If you are sick or feel like you may be coming down with something, please stay home. You may return to Community Nutrition Night after you’ve recovered and not had a fever for at least 24 hours.

If you experience or see something that doesn’t feel right to you, please let a Quest staff member know as soon as possible.

Thank you for joining us in this shared experience of inclusivity, safety, and yumminess!

  • The Quest Team
