A Look Back at 2023

From the move into our new building on SE 50th & Powell, new community partnerships, program expansions, updated staff perks, rental and utility assistance, showing up to PRIDE with a bang, and much much more, 2023 was no small feat!

  • Ribbon Cutting 

    In June of 2023, Quest Center celebrated the move to and grand opening of its newly remodeled Multnomah County location at 3231 SE 50th Avenue, increasing behavioral and physical health services by 500 new unduplicated clients annually.

  • LINK Expansion as part of FSR 

    In 2023, Finding and Sustaining Recovery expanded it’s harm reduction group LINK - Living with Intention and Knowledge, into a full outpatient substance use program.

  • Sabbaticals started

    Quest Center added the perk of offering a 2 month long sabbatical to employees who have been with the organization for 7 years or more.

  • Indigeninity BHRN Resource Fairs 

    The Indigeninity Behavaioral Health Resource Network, a collective of multi-cultural substance use disorder care organizations, came together to provide resource fairs and community lunches during the warmer weather months.

  • Recognition for timely, accurate, and transparent Measure 110 data and reporting

    Quest Center was recognized by the Oversight and Accountability Council for its timely, accurate, and transparent reporting on funds from Measure 110 and has been one of a handful of organizations in Multnomah County to be first approved for continuation of funding through 2025.

  • PDX Saints Love Wellness Fairs

    PDX Saints Love hosts weekly wellness fairs at Lents Park offering showers, hygiene, haircuts, hot meals, clothing,  free groceries, OHP assistance, wound care, pet supplies, art & wellness activities, recovery housing resources, substance abuse disorder support, detox referrals, ID replacement vouchers, and much more! Quest Center has had the pleasure of attending these once a month to provide hygiene and safer sex supplies, naloxone, and information of substance use treatment.

  • HIV & Hepatitis-C Testing at Quest Center provided by Outside In

    Outside In has regularly set up at Quest Center to provide free and confidential HIV & Hepatitis-C testing. The next event will happen on Monday February 12th! Sign-up HERE.

  • Paris is Burning at Hollywood Theater

    Poison Waters hosted a showing of Paris is Burning at the Hollywood Theater as a Quest Center fundraiser.

  • Donor Event

    In September of 2023, Quest Center had the pleasure of hosting an intimate gathering with mocktails and hors oeuvres for some of our donors to celebrate the opening of our new building.  

  • PRIDE 

    For this year’s PRIDE parade, Quest Center showed up full-glam with a 30-foot long pride flag dress!

  • TDOV Gathering  

    Quest Celebrated Trans Day of Visibility with a clothing swap, delicious cupcakes from Unicorn Bake Shop, games, and a letter-writing station.

  • NTHTD at Oaks Park 

    For National Trans HIV Testing Day, Quest Center partnered with Planned Parenthood, CAP NW, OHSU, Multnomah County, and more to take over Oaks Park Gay Skate Night in April and provide a number of free tickets, resources, and free HIV Testing.

  • Rental and Utility assistance – big things coming in 2024 

    Quest Center was able to provide rental and utility assistance to folks in the community testing positive for Covid, as well as to folks enrolled in our outpatient substance use programs. We look forward to big things coming with rental assistance in 2024!

  • Give Guide

    Quest Center supporters showed up BIG TIME and helped us raise over $15,000 to go towards physical, digital, and emotional accessibility increases to Quest Center’s already ADA accessible facilities.

  • EPCC & FABA

    In 2023, Quest Center became members of the East Portland Chamber of Commerce as well as the Foster Area Business Association.

  • New HIV Services Spanish Speaking Group

    Quest is thrilled to now host Espacios de Apoyo Para Latinos, Latinas, y Latinx/e, a Spanish Speaking support space open to non-Quest Clients as well that focuses on learning to live with HIV and manage depression.

  • Ryan White Recognition

    Quest Center received recognition for its Ryan White funded Women of Wisdom group for utilizing its funding at 1,100%. Looks like a typo, but Quest Center’s HIV Services department just really knocked it out of the park!

These are just a few of the many accomplishments Quest Center has had in the year of 2023 thanks to our amazing community, staff, and partners! Cheers to a great 2024!
