Stress Management Group

Day/Time: 8 Week Group October 7th - November 25th 4:30pm-5:30pm

About: Stress is an important factor in our health landscape. Stress can affect the body in cascading ways, causing symptoms further downstream, such as inflammation, sleep disturbances, and digestive issues. This group aims to help participants become more familiar with how stress affects us personally, and how we can cope/process/manage. Managing stress can reduce symptoms and provide an improved sense of wellbeing.  

At the end of this workshop participants will be able to :

  • Recognize where and how stress affects our lives

  • Understand the physiological function of stress and symptoms of excess stress

  • Understand the role of protective factors in reducing daily stress, and to recognize where our protective factors can be bolstered/improved

  • Adopt and utilize stress-reduction strategies
