Journey to the Wise Self, IFS Pathways to Self

Day/Time: Mondays, 10:30am

Start Date: 3/16/2026 for 8 weeks

Location: Via Zoom

Facilitators:
Kara Edge, she/her, LCSW: Kara is a licensed clinical social worker and IFS therapist. She values building community as a foundation for emotional and spiritual growth, and brings creativity and playfulness into her approach to inner exploration.

Ravyn Stanfield, she/they, LMFT: Ravyn is an acupuncturist, author, educator, and relational therapist who seeks to support relationships (including with our Self) to become nurturing and creative places from which to grow.

About:  This 8-week, trauma-informed experiential group integrates gentle movement, breathwork, Somatic Internal Family Systems, spiritual and ancestral inquiry, and psychoeducation. It gently explores fears, ambivalence, and resistance related to expanded and meaning-making experiences, honoring participants’ personal religious or spiritual practices while maintaining awareness of potential histories of religious trauma. Resistant and skeptical parts are welcomed. Each session is designed to help participants connect with and expand qualities of Self. Participants are encouraged to honor their own spiritual and religious beliefs or lack thereof.

The group is intended to help participants build and sustain meaningful practices that support recovery, well-being, and embodied awareness. It embraces metaphor and archetype rather than offering one finite answer to truth. All offerings are optional, and participants are encouraged to take what feels supportive and leave the rest. The group emphasizes careful attention to safety, choice, and nervous-system capacity. Practices are adapted to support recovery and meaning-making without pushing participants toward intense or destabilizing states.

Each session includes some teaching or facilitated discussion on the theme, experiential practices, and group discussion to support opening portals to Self energy through avenues such as community, art, music, poetry, breath, movement, earth connection, spirituality, ritual practices, dreamwork, and ancestral connection.

Open to program participants of: Mental Health Services (At Quest or with MOU)
