Lead SUD Counselor

By viewing counseling through an ecosystem lens, Wilder practices accompaniment--fostering self-determination, autonomy of choice, interdependence, and a sense of belonging. They do this by co-creating space for safer, shame-less identity expression as folx explore their relationships with themselves and their environment. Their approach is firmly grounded in harm reduction as a guiding philosophy and a practical framework for supporting folx who are navigating the broad spectrum of both substance use and recovery. Their sessions are adaptive and collaboratively structured. They value being trauma-informed and trauma-responsive. Drawing from strengths-based and solution-focused counseling, they seek opportunities to integrate the past while developing meaningful, future-oriented strategies for acceptance and change. Wilder received their Associate of Applied Science in the Field of Addiction Counseling at Portland Community College and is currently working toward completing the School of Social Work Program at Portland State University.
