National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

This national campaign is dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence and uplifting the needs, voices, and experiences of survivors. This year’s theme: With Survivors, Always reminds us to meet survivors with support and solidarity.

LGBTQIA+ History Month

October provides a dedicated time to reflect, learn, and celebrate the often-overlooked history and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Indigenous People’s Day : October 12th

Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors the histories, cultures, and perspectives of Indigenous peoples and their ancestors who lived on the land now known as North America. They existed in these areas for thousands of years before the first European explorers arrived. This day promotes awareness of Indigenous peoples’ struggles, resilience, and unique traditions, fostering understanding and unity among diverse cultures.

The Zinn Education Project has compiled a page of resources and information about Indigenous People’s history and the real history behind Columbus.

Upcoming Groups :

Mutual Aid Orientation

Day/Time: 10/13/26 and follow up on 10/20/26 | 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Open to : Mental Health Participants

About : Mutual aid at Quest is different than a typical mental health group. At the orientation you will meet with the larger group and form smaller pods to connect with through monthly mental health checks ins. Mutual aid is a model where voluntary, collaborative exchanges of resources and services for a common benefit take place in a community.

Stress Management Group

Day/Time: 8 Week Group, Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm

Start Day : October 7th

Open to : WISH Participants

About : This group aims to help participants become more familiar with how stress affects us personally, and how we can cope/process/manage. Managing stress can reduce symptoms and provide an improved sense of wellbeing.

Connected Conflict

Day/Time: Tuesday, 10/6/2027 | 3:00-5:00pm

Open to : Quest Mental Health Clients: individuals, couples, and moresomes.

About : It is possible for arguments to be productive and even have the potential to bring us closer or help us grow within our relationships. This two-hour workshop will explore staying connected during challenging conversations, and how to work together during every stage of a conflict.

About : Funds raised at the Out of the Darkness Portland Oregon Walk directly support research, advocacy efforts, and educational programs in schools, workplaces, and communities across OR.
