Federal mask mandate ends for airports, airplanes and other transportation systems

The federal transportation mask mandate has ended. The 14-month-old rule required everyone to wear a mask when traveling on planes, trains, buses and all local public transportation systems. Many airlines have announced that masking is now optional for their employees and customers, and local transportation systems are making their own masking rules as well. Please check with your airline or local transit system before traveling for those details.
