Community Day 2024 Recap

Quest Center had the pleasure of celebrating the collective achievements our community has made in health and wellness with our 2024 Community Day - a free event open to all.

❤️ All of the Quest programs were represented with a fun activity; slime-making with Mental Health, face-painting with Finding & Sustaining Recovery, trivia with HIV Services, Games with WISH Chronic Pain Management, and Ear Seeds from Acupuncture & Medical). Partners from Project Red, True Colors, Sunshine Division and Multnomah County were at the event to provide valuable community resources! 

🌭🍔It wouldn't be Community Day without free grub, and we did this year BBQ / Potluck style! We enjoyed hamburgers, hot-dogs made by Quest family Rick and Sean, and even handmade pizzas from Quest Staff Dan and Board Member Jessi! Brew Dr provided deliciously refreshing Kombucha for us to stay hydrated.

🍦Fifty-Licks Ice Cream provided free and delicious ice cream to help us beat the heat with both vegan and dairy options. A true Portland delight!

🌱This year's beloved Plant Swap was sponsored by our favorite neighborhood plant store, Birds and Bees Nursery.

📚Always Here Bookstore, a queer and neurodivergent-owned bookstore that carries queer books for all ages, sponsored a Book Swap to ensure that our community members could freshen their personal libraries just in time for those end of summer days at the river.

🎈We were so happy to have a very special activity that the kiddos (and let's be honest, adults too) loved. Balloon Animals!
