Celebrating Lusijah Marx - Welcoming a New Adventure After 36 Wonderful Years

To Our Quest Community,

It is with deep gratitude and admiration that I share the news that our beloved co-founder, Lusijah Marx, is stepping away from her role at Quest Center for Integrative Health. After more than three decades of service, Lusijah leaves behind a legacy that is as powerful as it is inspiring.  20 years, That is how long I have worked at Quest with Lusijah Marx. The foundation of the community that she dreamed about is still at the core of what Quest Center does.

Lusijah founded Quest Center in 1989 with a bold vision: to create a place where healing could happen holistically, where mental, physical, and emotional health are treated as interconnected, and where every individual is seen as whole, worthy, and capable of transformation. From that vision grew a community rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and empowerment.

Her impact has been profound, especially in her work with the HIV-positive and LGBTQIA2S+ communities, where she has consistently shown up as a fierce advocate and compassionate healer. Lusijah’s  work and philosophy has taken on many forms and facets but it has always centered on believing in people's capacity to be at their best in community. Lusijah has never been one to be content with the status quo. She has always devoted herself to exploring the newest and best evidence based ways to work with those most in need. One of the best examples of this is our beloved Nutrition Night. Food as not only physical nourishment but social and emotional nourishment are at the forefront of how we incorporate nutrition into all things Quests. Lusijah's  warmth, creativity, and deep care for community have guided countless individuals on their healing journeys.

Though Lusijah is stepping away from her formal role, the values she embedded into the foundation of Quest will continue to guide us forward.

Please join me in celebrating Lusijah’s extraordinary contributions, and in wishing her all the joy and fulfillment she so deserves in this next chapter.

With so much love and gratitude,

Dr. David Eisen L.AC., MSW, OMD(AM), EX. OFICIO

We Love You Lusijah!
