Mental Health Intern

I am a white, cis, queer, neurodivergent person with a belief in compassionate action and a commitment to serving my community. I believe that it is through our relationships that we make sense of ourselves and the world around us. It is also through relationships that we heal and grow. I hope to build a strong therapeutic relationship with each client that is characterized by empathy, understanding, and respect for your innate strength and wisdom. Additionally, I recognize the socio-cultural and environmental contexts that we exist within and have been impacted by. I take a trauma-informed, client-centered approach that integrates various modalities in response to your unique needs and goals. Some of these approaches may include, but are not limited to: Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am currently a master's student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Oregon State University with an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE). I work under the supervision of Hillary Reno and Oregon State University’s faculty supervisors. Outside of work, I enjoy making art, being in nature, and spending time with loved ones.
