Jess has been committed to working in grassroots community health care for 25 years and has been practicing as a licensed acupuncturist for more than a decade. After graduating from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2002, she began her acupuncture work professionally in the public health sector, helping to integrate acupuncture into various programs through Central City Concern from drug and alcohol detox centers to out-patient recovery clinics to behavioral health settings. Several years later she was part of a team to establish the Drug & Alcohol treatment program, FSR (Finding and Sustaining Recovery) at Quest in 2007 and has been honored to work with clients in recovery there ever since. She also now works with individuals who are navigating the many-layered aspects of chronic pain in the WISH (Wellness, Integrity and Sustainable Health) program. She applies her personal healing experiences, years of continuing study, and certification as a level one alcohol and drug counselor to her care in the acupuncture room where she is continually able to explore avenues with her clients to intuitively connect with and heal their physical bodies while they engage with their emotional lives. She strongly believes that all people, in accordance with their nature and apart from their economic means, are worthy of receiving the best possible health care. She is honored to be a part of the Quest community and the team of exceptionally skilled and caring providers at Quest Center.
