Day/Time: Thursday, 3:30pm

Date: 2/5/2026

Location: Quest Center Great Room

Facilitators: Heidi Nestler, (she/her) Nutrition Program Coordinator

About:  We meet to make miso at 3:30pm, feel free to join us for Nutrition Night at 5:30pm with miso soup and rice balls.

Miso is a traditional Japanese fermented soybean paste and is typically made in the winter.

Made with cooked soybeans, salt and koji (starter culture) this deeply flavorful condiment is considered a healing food.

We will gather to prepare miso and share a light lunch of rice balls and miso soup.

Miso takes time to ferment; we will gather again next year to share our finished miso.

Open to program participants of: All Quest Programs

To Register: Contact Heidi directly, at heidin@quest-center.org or call 503-238-5203 for assistance.
