We Stand With Our Intersecting Community
In the wake of the many executive orders calling to activate the deportation of fellow human beings, banning all DEI efforts, threatening and dis-acknowledgment of the sovereignty of trans and nonbinary folk, and attempts to defund/seize funding of vital federal programs including those which deeply impact yours and our daily lives it is imperative to name that this is fascism manifesting in this time.
In preparation for uncertainty, it is critical that we stand in solidarity with our intersecting community and stay true to our values.
Quest Center strongly believes that all of our clients should have access to excellent service regardless of their income, insurance, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, race, ethnicity, disability, veteran status, HIV status, or chronic health conditions.
From our inception, Quest Center’s purpose has been to create a sense of togetherness to help people through some of the most challenging aspects of their lives. Healing happens when people feel safety, comfort, and community.
To ensure that our staff, participants, and community feel rooted in safety at Quest Center, we have found it necessary to take action and pivot in some points.
We continue to expand and examine our work in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ): A special thank you to Pamela Oakes for leading our organization through the steps to fortify an Equity Action Plan. This necessary work will continue as long as Quest Center continues.
Social Media: Quest Center is actively working to build alternative avenues for connection beyond Instagram/Meta. Follow us on Bluesky @questcenter.bsky.social and stay tuned for additional avenues.
ICE: Thank you to Quest Center staff who have researched and provided resources to Know Your Rights. Quest Center is actively seeking training resources to further educate and support staff.
Medicare and Medicaid: We will continue to maximize the Medicare, Medicaid, and other grant-funding resources we currently retain and continue to have available to us. Every effort will be made to ensure that Quest Center’s breadth of services will continue to operate in the capacity that they do currently.
Although there are many things which remain unknown, we are certain of one thing: our collective strength and resistance combined with mutual grace and compassion for and with one another will and must continue today and tomorrow as it has yesterday and the days before.
In solidarity and with gratitude,
Your Quest Center Community
