First and foremost I’d like to share a firm belief of mine: if it were not for the “differences” there probably wouldn’t be any “similarities”…Meaning we all are imperfect miracles evolving, and in a constant transitioning state, of progression.

I am nothing less than awed, inspired, and highly appreciative of the opportunity Team Quest has afforded me in offering me a chance to be of service as a HIV & SUD Peer. I am a native of Portland, I’ve been actively involved in the recovery community for 12 years+, and I have been employed in the recovery field now for close to a year, as both Peer Support Specialist, and Certified Recovery Mentor.

I studied Substance Abuse and Addictive Behaviors, for three years at P.C.C. Cascade, pursuing a CADC1 degree, whereas I realized that my passion and drive to, “do the next right thing”, and give back what was so freely given to me, far exceeded and surpassed the limiting confines of lots of pens, paperwork, and a desk.
