WISH Peer Support Specialist
Sage is a queer, chronically ill human, passionate about the intersections of grief, care, and chronic illness & pain. They have been living with severe chronic pain since childhood. After receiving their degree in Race, Gender & Sexuality Studies from Mills College in 2022, Sage returned to their hometown of Portland. Prior to joining Quest, Sage spent several years organizing with mutual aid groups in town, and facilitating grief workshops for self-identified sick and disabled folks. They are grateful to be joining Quest as a Peer Mentor in Quest’s WISH program, and to have the opportunity to co-create support and trust with others living with chronic pain and complex health conditions. Sage dreams of a world that centers around equitable networks of care where those of us who face the most systemic barriers are able to receive support, feel safe and be held dear in community with others.
