MENTAL HEALTH INTERN

Hello! My name is Molly and I am a Mental Health Intern with Quest Center. I’m currently pursuing my masters in social work and my masters in public health at Portland State University. This tract has allowed me to blend my passions of systems thinking, harm reduction, and social justice work, and apply them to therapeutic relationships.  We are all imperfect beings trying in various ways to get our needs met and feel safe, moving through systems that are rarely designed to support genuine wellbeing, let alone healing, and most often perpetuate harm, if not cause it directly. Sometimes the coping strategies that we have been using become misaligned with our desires for being, creating distress and discomfort. Let’s be curious and gentle exploring those misalignments.

I believe that all people are capable of nurturing change within themselves in movement towards living a more aligned and authentic life.Therapy can be an entry point for change making. Trust and authenticity are central to my practice. I endeavor to meet folx where they are in their discovering and healing of themselves, and provide a brave container for noticing and healing. We contain multitudes, y’all.   “Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting -- over and over announcing your place in the family of things.” – from Wild Geese, by Mary Oliver
