As a peer, Mira considers lived experience to be integral wisdom. They believe the client knows themselves best, and that the peer relationship can be a space to explore new possibilities together. They aim to be multipartial, meaning that they approach peer relationships with the knowledge that our experiences are informed by how forces of oppression impact us. Mira finds that exploring both the structural and personal aspects of our lives can be supportive in uncovering our own truths and power. They value curiosity over judgment, describing an experience over prescribing an experience, and believe that no one knows everything, but together we know a lot.

Some things that inform Mira’s work are: a deep commitment to LGBTQIA2S+ community, disability justice, transformative justice, healing justice, Emergent Strategy principles, visionary fiction, pleasure and play, a reverence for nature, and the cathartic potential of a good laugh or cry.
