Hillary is a fat-bodied, white, cis, queer, rebel-hearted human dedicated to anti-oppressive action, which is necessarily rooted in the belief that within each of us remains the innate power to reauthor our own stories and lead a rebellion toward our own and our collective liberation.

Hillary received both a Bachelor of Arts in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a Master of Social Work from Portland State University. Hillary has been a Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC III) since 2013, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2016, and a NAADAC certified Master Addiction Counselor since 2018. Hillary is also approved by both the Oregon Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers and the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors to provide clinical supervision to counseling and social work associates.

Hillary's clinical praxis is informed by feminist, queer, and liberatory theories and she often integrates into her practice an infusion of Feminist Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Motivational interviewing. Additionally, Hillary has educational training and applied experience in collaboratively navigating complicated relationships with substance use from both harm reduction and abstinence-based perspectives; is an EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist; and embraces expansive and innovative approaches to exploring human experiences.

Hillary is adept at providing gender-affirming therapeutic support to trans and gender queer individuals and has a great deal of practice experience within LGBTQI communities. Hillary believes that through an anti-oppressive, fiercely hopeful, and deeply compassionate synergistic approach, sustained and transformative healing is possible.
