Addictions Counselor

I am a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CADC-II) and have been practicing since 2018. I focus on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and helping clients develop the tools necessary for building self-esteem and learning to set boundaries. Our DUII clients are supported without bias and are motivated to successfully graduate from the DUII program. I do this by encouraging them to complete the course work and helping them navigate the state's requirements/process as painlessly as possible.

I also have experience with Harm Reduction Therapy, which has gained popularity in recent years as the recovery movement has begun to explore more pathways of recovery. This is seen as a risk-reducing approach, which is used to help people who use substances reduce or abstain completely. I am passionate about working with adults who are suffering from substance use/abuse and understanding how it relates to depression, anxiety, relationship problems, self-esteem, difficulties in work or school, feelings of emptiness, and legal concerns.

My goal is to work together to better understand who you are and the difficulties with which you struggle and, through this process, help you to live more fully and free from the ties of addiction. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter, and friends. My favorite hobbies include traveling, camping, skiing, and drawing. I also enjoy watching sports, especially hockey and football. Occasionally I will even play a few of them.
