In working with people, I place my trust in a principle of change without force. My belief is that in feeling safe and connected, our systems naturally reorganize toward health. I emphasize things like present moment awareness, organic interaction, curiosity, humor. I am trained in certain forms of therapy like EMDR, and often incorporate principles from Internal Family Systems and Hakomi, among others. I am a social worker by trade, and have a background in Zen Buddhist practice. Beyond whatever form working together takes, I feel the most important thing is authentic meeting.
